Job Title: Senior Accountant Position in Medical Sector

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our established Accountancy Practice in Luton, Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in practice and client work, with excellent attention to detail and working knowledge of Accountancy and tax.

The role involves preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for clients within the medical sector, including GP's, medical partnerships, and private medical practices. You will also be responsible for offering advice and dealing with client queries, as well as preparing business and personal tax returns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts
  • Offering advice & dealing with client queries
  • Preparing business and personal tax returns
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT prepared by juniors
  • Training and assisting some junior members of staff

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or close to qualification, with up-to-date knowledge on corporate and personal taxes. They should also have experience in working with clients within the medical sector and be competent using cloud-based software such as Xero and Sage.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and established practice, with clear progression routes and a competitive salary package. The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
