About the Role

The Active Travel Programme Coordinator will work closely with colleagues in the City Council and NCVS as part of a cross-sector project team.

The role aims to improve understanding of 'what matters to me' for our target groups to support behaviour change to active travel for people previously not engaged or unable to take part.

The walking and cycling activities provided by the programme will focus on supporting four levels of activity:

  • Level 1: Family-friendly walking and cycling activities in the community.
  • Level 2: One-to-one and small group activities such as walk and cycle buddies, cycle training, and group walks and rides.
  • Level 3: Walk and talk clinics to make active lifestyle choices to help manage conditions and improve health and wellbeing.
  • Level 4: Active travel taster sessions for GPs and social prescribers.

The role requires a strong understanding of public health and social prescribing principles.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of this exciting programme.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
