Regional Property Maintenance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Property Maintenance Expert to join our team in Kent.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property maintenance and compliance, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
As a Regional Property Maintenance Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring that our portfolio of properties is well-maintained and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
This includes providing specialist advice and effective resolution management in relation to property repairs, maintenance, sustainability, and efficiency.
You will also be responsible for preparing scheme designs and detailed schedules for the delivery of planned refurbishment and capital projects, managing monthly repair and maintenance budgets, and developing our wider planned works programme.
Furthermore, you will monitor and manage contractor Service level agreements, proactively support the team in ensuring our supply chain provides the best service to our pubs and hotels, and coordinate regular review meetings with our Tenants and Business Development Managers to ensure that maintenance, dilapidation, and compliance works are completed within agreed timescales and to the highest quality.
In this role, you will guide each business through its property maintenance, compliance, and development strategy to ensure schedules are followed, quality expectations are met, risks are identified, and quick resolutions are provided to maintain a safe environment for all.
The salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including company car scheme, 25% discount on food at Shepherd Neame Managed Houses, 25% discount on overnight Managed House Hotel bookings, up to 40% discount on select purchases from the Visitor Centre Shop at Faversham, Sheps Hut discounts and special offers hub on 100s of high street shops and services, financial wellbeing app and early wage withdrawal scheme, company Pension plan, Share Incentive Plan, access to a Mental Wellbeing Platform, and 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a property based degree qualification or equivalent, RICS/CIOB qualified or similar, working towards or with aspiration to become qualified, and knowledge of Listed Building, Conservation and Planning laws together with industry specific legislation such as Licensing and Fire Safety.
Friendly and approachable with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and consultants, both written and verbal, diligent with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel & Outlook) and data analytical skills.
