Antimicrobial Stewardship Strategist

The Antimicrobial Stewardship Strategist plays a vital role in promoting the safe and effective use of antimicrobials in the NHS. As a strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an antimicrobial stewardship strategy to optimize antibiotic use and prevent resistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an antimicrobial stewardship strategy to optimize antibiotic use and prevent resistance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote best practices in antimicrobial use and patient safety
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the antimicrobial stewardship strategy
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on antimicrobial stewardship and best practices
Requirements: Registered with GPhC, post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, evidence of recent continuing professional development, and membership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Experience in the NHS, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, planning and implementing practice changes, teaching and mentoring, and developing medicines management policies.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
