Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legal requirements and standards. This will involve performing inspections and surveillance, monitoring work practices, and ensuring that all required documentation/records are generated and maintained.

You will also be responsible for promoting occupational and behavioural safety within the project, identifying barriers and obstacles to safe behaviour, and implementing ways to overcome them. Additionally, you will provide data for monthly KPIs and advise the Project Management Team on HSE issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legal requirements and standards
  • Monitor work practices to ensure they align with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all required documentation/records are generated and maintained
  • Promote occupational and behavioural safety within the project
  • Identify barriers and obstacles to safe behaviour and implement ways to overcome them
  • Provide data for monthly KPIs
  • Advise the Project Management Team on HSE issues
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a similar environment, such as UK Gas or LNG Projects, Oil & Gas Projects, Petrochemical Projects, LNG Production, Storage, Vaporisation, or Shipping, Cryogenic Pipeline, Process or Gas Compression, Top tier COMAH sites
  • Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environment legal requirements and standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
