Job Summary:
Morgan Law is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for delivering procurement support and managing end-to-end procurement projects in line with public sector procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Contract Management: Procure new contracts in line with PCR 2015 and the new procurement act, ensuring best value is delivered.
- Category Management Support: Provide support to the Category Manager and develop new approaches to the market.
- Category Strategy Development: Help develop category and sub-category strategies.
- Tender Management: Prepare tender documents and analyze tender responses.
- Savings and Efficiency Generation: Help generate opportunities for savings and efficiencies as well as support with contract formation and contract management.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in public sector procurement, ideally from an FM background. This role requires a strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and a ability to work independently.
Working Arrangements:
The role is based in Maidstone, with 3 days in the office. The salary on offer is circa £35,000 to £40,000.
