Prisoner Custody Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Prisoner Custody Officer to join our team at Folkestone Magistrates Court. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees, focusing on their physical and mental wellbeing.

• Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, ensuring their safety and security at all times.
• Search property or people as required, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Ensure food and drink are available to detainees, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
• Complete paperwork and data entry for the day, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current valid driver's license.
• Reasonable fitness levels, with the ability to manage and control all situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and detainees.
