As a Prison Custody Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in providing safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees. Your primary focus will be on the physical and mental wellbeing of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, ensuring their safety and security at all times.
- Search property or people as required, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect.
- Ensure food and drink are available to detainees, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Complete paperwork and data entry for the day, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- A current valid driver's license is essential for this role.
- Reasonable fitness levels are required to perform the duties of the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to manage and control all situations.
