Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice General Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out operational services to ships in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Take ownership of the vessel's machinery spaces, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Manage lube oils and bunkers to ensure vessels have sufficient supplies for operations.
- Conduct regular ships' husbandry and Health & Safety checks onboard, reporting any faults or issues to the relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork, adhering to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and train junior engineering staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent Engineer to develop specification documents for dry-docking and surveys, coordinating these activities with external partners.
- Participate in mandatory training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

- Minimum STCW III/3 Chief Engineer
