About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef Manager to join our team at Aspens Services Ltd. As a key member of our school food services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food and service to our students and staff.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team of chefs and kitchen staff
  • Managing the catering operation, including stock, food, and labour costs
  • Ensuring consistency of food and service standards
  • Driving sales through promotions and added value events
  • Managing and improving controllable costs
  • Overseeing menu development and implementation
  • Maintaining company systems and procedures
  • Carrying out regular audits to ensure standards are being met

About You

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. You will need:

  • OND or HND qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets
  • Line management experience
  • Experience within a similar environment
