As a Market Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for managing market risk exposure for equity derivatives. This involves monitoring and analysing market risk on a daily and long-term basis, assessing market developments and their potential impact on trading portfolios, collaborating with front-office teams, ensuring compliance with trading limits, and preparing P&L analyses. You will also be expected to continuously improve desk processes and participate in global and local initiatives to adapt systems and processes to new regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring and analysing market risk exposure for equity derivatives on a daily and long-term basis
• Assessing market developments and their potential impact on trading portfolios
• Collaborating closely with front-office teams to understand trading strategies and pricing models
• Ensuring compliance with trading limits, reviewing transactions that exceed established thresholds
• Preparing and delivering detailed P&L analyses

Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in a quantitative field, 3-5 years of experience in trading, risk management, or product control functions, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and related software. Familiarity with risk management concepts, such as VaR, Greeks, and regulatory frameworks, is also essential. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) and database queries (e.g., SQL) is a plus.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits, including a hybrid working model, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development.
