Job Overview

An Accountancy firm in Northallerton seeks an experienced Tax Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a pure Tax Compliance role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of financial practices, including accounts payable and financial accounting processes.
  • Analyse financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and promote best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and present findings to senior management.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the financial services industry and advise the organisation accordingly.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in a Tax compliance role within Practice.
  2. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is highly desirable.
  3. Used to a fast-paced environment.
  4. Highly technical.
  5. CTA or ATT qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  6. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Estimated salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.
