Curriculum Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented English teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team at Ark Alexandra Academy.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds, fostering a love for English language and literature.
This role would be suitable for an experienced qualified teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to start their career in a secondary school setting.
Our successful English department is supported by the Ark Network English Advisor, who coaches and co-plans with teachers.
We invest in our teachers by providing regular coaching, career planning, and weekly training sessions.
The department follows the English Mastery curriculum at Key Stage 3, and students study challenging literary heritage texts alongside a structured grammar and Reading for Pleasure programme.
At Key Stage 4, students follow the AQA syllabus for English Language and English Literature.
We are proud of our seven-year curriculum map, which prepares students for the challenge of A-Level English Literature, a popular choice for our Sixth Form students.
