About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering management, who can introduce best practice into engineering design and management delivery. You'll ensure that H&S risk assessments are carried out as required under the CDM regulations, and identify and agree with Heads of Departments and others as appropriate a comprehensive resource requirement for the engineering design of the project to budgetary targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce best practice into engineering design and management delivery.

  • Identify and agree with Heads of Departments and others as appropriate a comprehensive resource requirement for the engineering design of the project to budgetary targets.
  • Integrate and coordinate the engineering design activities of all disciplines, departments, and other suppliers of engineering design contributing to the project.
  • Monitor and report to the relevant parties the quality of engineering across all disciplines.
  • Ensure that designs are compliant with statutory requirements and technology transfer.
  • Plan, budget, organize, direct, and control tasks, people, and resources.

Requirements:

  • HND or Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or a Professionally Registered Engineer.
  • Extensive experience of managing and coordinating a multi-discipline engineering resource in a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations and codes of practice including CDM.
  • Experience of design configuration control.
  • Extensive experience of managing client organizations.
  • You must be a UK National and able/willing to obtain SC level security clearance, which includes resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
