**Job Title:** Support Assistant - Educational Setting

**Location:** Derby

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Assistant to join our team at TeacherActive. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with our schools and educational institutions to provide support to teachers and pupils.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and pupils
  • A calm and patient approach, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines

We offer a competitive salary of £20,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support teachers and teaching assistants in the classroom, providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils
  • To assist with planning and preparation of lessons, including preparing materials and resources
  • To contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
