An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in a leading hospital service based in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham. You will be working for a renowned healthcare provider.

This hospital offers fast access to expert treatment for a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, and stress.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be a full member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) with registration from the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

As an Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting patients to engage in self-care, productive, and recreational activities
  • Planning and facilitating 1:1 and group interventions
  • Working with the multidisciplinary team to identify patients' occupational needs
  • Observing, recording, and reporting patients' involvement in 1:1s and groups
  • Monitoring patients' well-being and referring any unusual occurrences to senior staff
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate updating of clinical records and computerised information systems

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental Health Act
  • Patient-centred approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Fine-tuned decision-making skills
  • Excellent organisational capability
  • Effective communication skills

The successful Occupational Therapist will receive a competitive salary of £28,407 - £34,581 per annum. This permanent full-time role involves working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
