About the Role

Mencap is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Bangor, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence. Your caring and patient nature, combined with a genuine passion for supporting others, will enable you to build strong relationships with our service users.

We are looking for individuals who are flexible and able to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities is essential, as is the ability to support people with their finances, reduce social isolation, and promote personal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities, such as personal care and medication management
  • Provide emotional support and promote independence
  • Support individuals with their finances and reduce social isolation
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote positive behaviour and improve quality of life
