We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Optimization Expert to join our team at First Quantum Minerals Ltd.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 (dependent on location and experience), offering a competitive compensation package.

Job Description

This key role will form an integral part of our Group Commercial team and be responsible for leading various initiatives aimed at building stronger supply chain capabilities, optimizing operations, and improving both short- and long-term commercial strategy at both a site and group level.

Responsibilities
  • Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain process and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete items
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including shipments and managing freight costs
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions
Requirements
  • An undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • General Management degrees may also be considered with adequate work experience
  • Proven work experience in complex, cross-border supply chains
  • Relevant experience within industries like mining, engineering, oil, and gas
  • Knowledge of project management principles and systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ERP systems and analytical skills
