Job Summary:
The Charity People team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants Manager to join our client, a growing UK-based family trust dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
About the Role:
The Senior Grants Manager will play a key role in managing the Foundation's grant-making efforts, supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to achieve their goals. This involves overseeing all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Management & Compliance: Ensure all grant-related activities are in line with Foundation policies and procedures.
- Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with grantees, charities, and non-profit organizations, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Strategic Planning & Funding Prioritization: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement strategies that reflect the Foundation's mission and goals, while identifying emerging opportunities.
- Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor grantee outcomes, assess program effectiveness, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and board members, highlighting impact and progress.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in grant management, preferably in a philanthropic or not-for-profit organization, or experience of grant-making, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, experience working with a grant management database, and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice.
