About the Role

Hastings Hotels is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at the Europa Hotel. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for providing effective maintenance services associated with heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems, enhancing the guest experience and maximizing profit contribution to the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain all mechanical equipment in conjunction with planned maintenance systems
  • Monitor maintenance and repair of boiler house plant
  • Responsible for all chemical treatment of cold water storage, heating, and chilled water services, maintaining up-to-date written records
  • Responsible for all repairs, additions, or alterations to plumbing services within the hotel
  • Perform minor metal fabrication work as required
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment, treating all employees with respect and dignity
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene, and security legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain the security of guest property and storage areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches
  • Ensure the correct and safe usage and maintenance of any equipment in accordance with set procedures, minimizing breakages
  • Perform any other duties as required by management
Requirements
  • Approved plumbing experience gained within commercial buildings
  • Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Good communication, numeracy, and IT skills
  • Smart, well-groomed appearance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as a team player
  • A right to work within the United Kingdom
