Satellite Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the production of satellites and payloads at our facility in Stevenage. This is a 12-month contract position with a competitive hourly rate of £35ph.
Key Responsibilities- Support hardware assembly on satellites, including black boxes, solar arrays, and structure panels.
- Create production phase documentation, including ACS inputs and work procedures.
- Collaborate with the AIT Engineering team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee unit installation activities on satellites.
- Support quality reviews, RCAs, and PFMEAs.
- Design tooling and build aids for assembly execution.
- High-level mechanical skills and experience working with satellite integration processes.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation, including test specs, test plans, and AIT plans.
