Solar Technical Support Manager Job Description

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Solar Technical Support Manager to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, resolving issues, and improving the post-installation service.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PV and retrofit battery Growatt systems, analytical and solution-focused skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work as part of a team, identify opportunities for improvement, and produce reports and statistics as required.

The role involves working alongside the Electrical Installation Manager to resolve issues onsite, manning the technical support phone line, and supporting the management and administration of the CRM. The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising with installers and customers to arrange installations and technical work, and working alongside the technical support manager to grow and develop technical support within the business.

The salary package includes £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), 28 days' holiday including bank holidays, pension contribution, and staff incentives and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and online chat
  • Resolve technical issues onsite and support the completion of installations
  • Manage and administer the CRM system
  • Liaise with installers and customers to arrange installations and technical work
  • Work alongside the technical support manager to grow and develop technical support within the business
  • Remote troubleshooting and accessing customer systems
  • Close working relationship with sales office and warehouse team
  • Support with new product introduction and ongoing product development
Requirements:
