We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our bank team at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for supporting safe and effective prescribing and the verification of discharge prescriptions across our admissions, medical and surgical specialities.

The hours worked will be at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries and/or Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. This post does not include on-call.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful corner of Scotland with easy links to the Scottish central belt and northern England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support safe and effective prescribing and the verification of discharge prescriptions
  • Work in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Experience of hospital clinical roles
  • Ability to work occasional shifts as an addition to their substantive posts or to work ad hoc shifts in a hospital pharmacy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
