We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Design, plan, and risk assess lifting operations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including LOLER and PUWER.
- Coach and mentor lifting personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Peer review complex lift plans to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Develop and implement safe systems of work for lifting operations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- 5+ years of experience in planning and executing lifting operations.
- CPCS A61 Blue card LOLER Appointed Person certification.
- Experience in rigging and fleeting of loads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads (TAP01) certification.
- Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Planning Lifts.
- Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Supervising Lifts.
- CPCS A62 Blue card Crane/Lift Supervisor certification.
