About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Enterprise IT business, providing infrastructure support and projects that come to us. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering new enabling capabilities, developing and delivering templated systems, resolving infrastructure support issues, and maintaining, managing, and optimizing the overall performance and availability of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve the monitoring and alert system to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
  • Share knowledge across the team of the implementations to drive consistency and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain systems configuration item (CI) baselines in alignment with the Service Management Configuration Management Plan.
  • Assist in work within the area of specialism, taking account of interfaces and approved data, and provide analysis and support of problems related to platform and support system issues.
  • Support the development of processes to ensure discipline technical quality is communicated across all discipline levels of IM&T engineers.
  • Research problems and issues, gather information from a range of physical and informational sources, and review defects on platform or assembly to gain a complete understanding of the problem and all relevant circumstances.
  • Engage with customer representatives and suppliers in writing, by telephone, and in face-to-face meetings, and with other internal functions as necessary to discuss technical issues and problems.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in installation of Kubernetes Environments.

Desirable:

  • Linux - CentOS / Red Hat operating system skills.
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to proactively take the initiative and work independently with little supervision, and also to be part of a collaborative team where ideas and skills are shared.
  • A professional and flexible individual that can adapt quickly to changing requirements or priorities and where necessary divert to assist other teams/projects.
