Northwood Hygiene Products is a leading manufacturer of paper hygiene and wiping products for both the away-from-home and consumer market. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team at our Chesterfield site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and communicating weekly and monthly maintenance schedules to assist in the completion of planned maintenance activities, ad-hoc repairs, and statutory inspections. This will involve using CMMS and SAP systems to prioritize work requests and ensure all work is planned effectively.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties include:

  • Issuing work orders to teams and monitoring completion and progress against tasks.
  • Producing weekly plans in advance for engineering resource at Chesterfield.
  • Planning all work and resources on a day-to-day basis and for planned maintenance outages.
  • Working closely with mechanical and electrical engineering managers to ensure all engineering tasks are carried out safely.

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • A recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • High proficiency in CMMS and SAP systems.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Excel.
