Data Manager Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to join our team at Novus Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, optimising and managing system data while exploring and developing Business Intelligence / reporting tools to aid with business performance.
Your primary objective will be to devise and recommend a data structure that allows for consistency, transparency, and ease of amalgamating data from various systems. You will also be responsible for implementing the data structure to enable a single source of truth for reporting purposes.
This is a varied and engaging role that requires close collaboration with commercial and operational teams. You will work alongside Subject Matter Experts and Technology teams to safeguard data integrity, ensuring current and future business processes are aligned and future-proofed.
The successful candidate will have experience in working in an IT or Data Management role, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and expertise with wider databases and data management technologies such as SQL, Access products, Shopify, and Power BI. A strong understanding of Data Management and Governance principles is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Devise and recommend a data structure that allows for consistency, transparency, and ease of amalgamating data from various systems.
- Implement the data structure to enable a single source of truth for reporting purposes.
- Work closely with business Subject Matter Experts and Technology teams to safeguard data integrity.
- Develop and implement rigorous testing prior to fundamental system changes to ensure they work for the whole business.
- Use the data structure to reduce manual manipulation of data and duplication of actions/activity within the business.
Requirements:
Experience in working in an IT or Data Management role
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Expert with wider databases and data management technologies – SQL, Access products, Shopify, and Power BI, etc.
Understanding of Data Management and Governance principles
Ability to interpret and organise large amounts of data through spreadsheets.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
