Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Package Manager to join our team at Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems across our assets on the S1/S2 Hs2 London Tunnels.

Main Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Manage a site team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and 3rd parties, ensuring implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Design and Construction: Develop the design, construction methodology, program, and cost for MEP projects, preparing for delivery, including resources, procurement, consents, and pre-start documentation.
  • Team Supervision: Manage, supervise, train, and mentor the site team to optimize their work contribution, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Contract Management: Review contractual agreements, develop detailed site-specific programs, and forecast budgets, assessing actual program and productivity achieved, and reporting changes to the Project Manager and QS department.
  • Subcontractor Management: Be fully conversant with subcontractor contract conditions, assist in developing job-specific subcontract conditions, and manage subcontractors' accounts with the QS team.
  • Communication: Communicate non-conformances and instructions received from the client, designer, RE's staff to the Project Manager, QA, and QS teams.
  • Site Diary: Maintain a full and accurate daily site diary, recording changes, variations, subcontractors' attendance, and work-related discussions with the client, designer, and project team.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure implementation and adherence to inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements for the control of works, and be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar level role, responsible for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems, including management, procurement, design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Qualifications: Professional qualification or degree in Electrical/Fire/Telecommunications Engineering or a related subject.
  • Skills: Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, and best practice, and ability to work independently and collaboratively with other integrated team members and external stakeholders.
  • Computer Competence: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Control Systems, and Auto CAD.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to suit the receiver.
  • Certifications: Relevant CSCS Card and SMSTS/SSSTS.
