Job Description:

The Principal Planning and Highways Lawyer role involves leading and managing a team of lawyers providing exceptional legal service to public sector clients, primarily in planning and highways law. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive specialist legal advice, contributing to the development of colleagues and representing clients in negotiations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a 5+ PQE admitted Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX of England and Wales with a current practising certificate. Good knowledge of planning and highways law and practices are essential. Previous managerial and advocacy experience is also necessary.

About You:

You must have a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others, anticipate challenges and deal with them proactively. Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are crucial. You should be enthusiastic, driven by delivering high-quality service and have a positive attitude towards building relationships with team members. The ability to evaluate information in complex situations and confidently make decisions independently is vital.

What We Offer:

A salary of (£57,750 - £72,059) per annum, plus a management allowance of £1,400 and an excellent benefits package. This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements.
