Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Assembler to join our team at The Recruitment Link Ltd. As an Electronic Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and inspection of various electronic equipment products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electronic equipment products, including hot plate stirrers, water stills, PCR units, heaters, rockers, and mixer units, ensuring they conform to CE/EMC standards.
  • Record all job data in a log book and sign off finished products on final inspection sheets, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assemble and test intermediate sub-assemblies required for water stills, rotary evaporators, water baths, and other equipment, including PCBs, wiring harnesses, electronic assemblies, hose kits, metal work, switches, caps, and plugs.
  • Operate automatic wire stripping/cutting machines, setting wire feed and cutters, and control for length and quantity, as well as manual strippers/cutters for heavy-duty 2 and 3-core wires, inspecting wires and crimps as required.
  • Assemble and test larger equipment items, such as industrial units and ovens, comprising metal work parts, panels, insulation pads, baffles, and assorted electrical components.
  • Use hand and pneumatic crimpers, cutters, soldering irons, files, screwdrivers, pliers, and other tools, referencing drawings, assembly manuals, build samples, and job cards.
  • Assemble miscellaneous metal work pieces in a light engineering environment, including finger discs and clip plates for rotators, shaker platforms, using drills, saws, files, and other tools.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the immediate work area, understanding the principles of 5S.
Requirements
  • No formal qualifications are required, but hand and eye coordination are essential for assembly, testing, and inspection work, particularly intricate wiring and soldering processes, and assembling small components.
  • Any qualification in electronics, such as HNC/ONC, is advantageous, and it is critical to be a team player with excellent communication skills.
