Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support our food manufacturing facility in Northamptonshire, UK. This role involves carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), attending breakdowns, and maintaining a wide range of machinery to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Perform routine PPMs and attend to mechanical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  2. Machinery Maintenance: Maintain and repair food manufacturing equipment to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  3. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of machinery performance and reliability.
  4. Call-Out Support: Be available for on-call duties to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
  5. Health & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar production environment.
  2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
  3. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general machine maintenance.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
