Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on a variety of pressing and blow moulding machinery.
  • Conducting planned and preventative maintenance on an array of plant machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machinery.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaising with and shadowing existing engineering team members during the initial 6-month period to learn the machinery on site and develop skills to maintain and repair production machines.
  • Collaborating with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant.
  • Following and adhering to company Health and Safety policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' worth of experience as a mechanical bias engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic machinery.
  • In-depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery.
  • Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ's/17th/18th edition) - advantageous.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Must be eager to learn and develop skillset within mechanical engineering.
