About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our Assessment team in Durham. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The successful candidate will possess excellent assessment skills, be able to conduct Initial Assessments and Core Assessments, pursue Section 47 Investigations, and initiate care proceedings when necessary. Additionally, they will collaborate with multiple agencies to support families and children, preparing initial child protection reports and conference reports as required.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires post-qualifying experience as a Qualified Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to participate in a duty rota to ensure adequate coverage. This will require flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality service to families in need.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on the title, job description, and location.

Requirements
  1. Social Work England Registration
  2. 1-2 years of post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  3. Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (provision will be made for this)
