Job Description

Motivair, part of March, is the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services. We offer a wide range of expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process, and digital services.

We are currently looking for Service Engineers to join our team. As a Service Engineer, you will deliver high levels of service following established procedures by attending breakdowns, completing regular service calls, installation work, and generating new business recommendations.

The ability to work on a wide variety of compressed air systems, including screw compressors, is essential. You will also perform technical assessments and appraisals of engineering equipment and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete accurate and timely service reports, timesheets, job sheets, and recommendations in accordance with laid-down procedures.
  2. Promote Motivair to secure opportunities for additional work.
  3. Repair broken-down equipment under emergency call-out schemes.
  4. Support system commissioning and training activities.
  5. Carry out equipment and system installation work at customer sites.
  6. Complete appropriate risk assessment and method statement paperwork before commencing work.
  7. Participate in the Call Out Rota as required.
  8. Maintain company vehicle in accordance with guidelines.
  9. Provide feedback on any product design features causing maintenance or operational difficulties.
  10. Submit expenses in accordance with company policy and ensure that expense documentation for the team is detailed, documented, signed off before submitting to Finance.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Familiarity with compressed air equipment, its associated controls, and its service and maintenance requirements.
  2. An engineering qualification combined with excellent interpersonal and IT skills and a desire to deliver world-class customer service through quality workmanship.
  3. Familiarity with modern servicing and faultfinding techniques.
  4. Awareness of electrical/electronic and PLC controlled systems and their testing and repair.
