Assistant Director of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Finance to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial management support to our Clinical Service Units.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial plans and budgets for our Clinical Service Units.
- Provide financial input to major capital developments and business cases, ensuring that they are aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
- Lead the production of accurate and timely financial information for reports to the Trust's senior management team.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical teams, to ensure that financial information is accessible and understood.
- Provide expert financial advice and guidance to Trust Board, Directors, and other senior stakeholders.
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality financial services.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring that the Trust's financial systems and processes are compliant and effective.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
- Extensive experience in financial management, preferably in a senior role within a healthcare organization.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial services, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering results and achieving high-quality outcomes.
