Full Time Patient Care Monitor/Greeter

BAART Program is seeking a reliable and attentive Patient Care Monitor and Greeter to maintain the overall safety and order of the clinic facility. This role provides essential support to the receptionist and contributes to a smooth operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and patients.
  2. Verify that each patient entering the building has an identification card.
  3. Create an efficient waiting system; have patients stand in a single file while waiting for medication.
  4. Implement effective crowd control measures to prevent congestion and promote timely departures after dosing, unless an appointment with a staff member is scheduled.
  5. Eliminate loitering and congregating in the parking lot and premises.
  6. Report critical incidents occurring in the parking lot or on premises.
  7. Collaborate with local authorities and cooperate with them in emergency situations, as necessary.
  8. Respond to calls for assistance in preventing interference or disruption of operations (maintain order and control).
  9. Document incidents whenever trouble or problems occur, reporting them to the Operations Director and/or Clinic Director.
  10. Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the building, protecting property from damage and destruction.
  11. Conduct security checks of the facility at regular intervals throughout the day.
  12. Attend staff meetings and in-service training as directed by the supervisor.
  13. Maintain professional attire at all times, including a name badge and any necessary paraphernalia identifying you as a Security Guard.
  14. Be approachable, courteous, and helpful to all disciplines, including reception, clinical, and medical staff.
  15. Provide receptionist coverage as needed.
  16. Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  1. A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year's prior experience in an office/clinic setting.
  2. Training from a law enforcement school or other security training is highly preferred.
  3. The ability to build strong relationships with patients and demonstrate empathy toward chemically dependent individuals.
  4. Satisfactory background check and drug screen results.
