Job Description

This award-winning, well-respected hotel is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join their team of chefs in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will be an integral part of the team, leading and learning on a section in the kitchen, creating exquisite dishes and working to the highest culinary standards. You will be working in the more informal restaurant within the establishment, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain exposure to a range of cuisines and styles amongst a busy but experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  2. Lead and manage a section of the kitchen, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  3. Work closely with the Head Chef and other senior chefs to develop new menus and improve existing ones.
  4. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  5. Develop and implement new ideas and initiatives to improve the kitchen's efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  1. Passionate about food and committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  2. NVQ Level 2 & 3 in a relevant culinary discipline.
  3. Previous experience in a similar establishment, with a proven track record of success.
  4. Food hygiene and safety knowledge, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  5. Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

The ideal candidate must be experienced in fresh produce and possess NVQ level 1 and 2 or equivalent, along with a hygiene certificate. You must be a UK/EU Citizen and have ILR/PR status or hold a work permit/visa with at least 2 years remaining.
