About the Role

We are seeking an experienced scientist to join our Chemistry Department as a Senior Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting analysis of extractables and leachables using GC-MS or LC-MS instrumentation, developing and validating chromatographic methods, and providing coaching and mentoring to junior members of staff.

  • Test and analyze samples using GC-MS or LC-MS instrumentation
  • Develop and implement chromatographic methods
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in chemistry or a related field, experience with GC-MS or LC-MS instrumentation, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of $**$85,000 - $110,000 per year**, depending on experience, plus benefits including private healthcare, pension, and flexible working hours. Smithers is an equal opportunities employer.
