Automotive Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Test Engineer to join our Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing testing methods and procedures for validation of Infotainment systems, ensuring vehicle level quality, function, and reliability standards are maintained with changes of Infotainment HW & SW.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement testing methods and procedures for Infotainment systems
- Ensure quality, function, and reliability standards are maintained with Infotainment HW & SW changes
- Creation of test reports and documentation
- Root cause investigation and analysis
- Technical support to the production plant and management of suppliers
- Ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of software programming and quality assurance
- Experience with software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment
- Ability to risk assess software modifications and develop test plans
- Understanding of network communications (CAN, LIN) and electrical systems
Flexibility to travel and a valid driving license are required for this role. To meet current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK.
