Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations in the chilled warehouse to ensure the completion of all tasks to a high standard of performance. This includes managing the goods in, picking, and dispatch process, as well as driving continuous improvement and ensuring consistency with the Company's People Management Process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the goods in, picking, and dispatch process to ensure timely completion of tasks within the warehouse.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure consistency with the Company's People Management Process.
  • Assist the chilled warehouse management in conducting briefings, appraisals, and on-going performance reviews.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Company objectives.
  • Develop leadership and management skills alongside core competencies and skills.
  • Manage warehouse practices to encourage the achievement of Company objectives for energy efficiency and recycling.
  • Manage resources to contribute to Company objectives for cost reduction.
  • Manage warehouse, warehouse practices, and housekeeping to reduce expenditure on damages and general repairs.
  • Work with colleagues to encourage improved communication within the business.
  • Assist warehouse management team in controlling and monitoring costs in the following areas: overtime, MHE, warehouse maintenance.
  • Build relationships with colleagues throughout the wider business.
  • Operate to high moral, personal, and professional standards when representing the business.
  • Maintain a high degree of personal discipline, time keeping, and morale.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Company Policies.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues to ensure that targets and schedules are understood and that key messages are passed on.
  • Ensure that any commercially sensitive information is protected at all times.
