Outsourced Professional Administration Limited (OPAL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Compliance and Risk. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned compliance and risk expert to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The Head of Compliance and Risk will be responsible for leading our compliance and risk management functions, ensuring that our business operations are in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This includes developing and implementing effective compliance and risk management strategies, monitoring and reporting on compliance and risk issues, and providing guidance and support to our teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement compliance and risk management strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
- Lead and manage the compliance and risk teams to ensure effective implementation of compliance and risk management strategies.
- Monitor and report on compliance and risk issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to our teams on compliance and risk management matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on compliance and risk matters.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments, ensuring that our compliance and risk management strategies are aligned with the latest requirements.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, preferably in the investment and life protection sectors.
- Appropriate qualifications in financial services, such as a degree in a relevant field or a professional certification like the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) or the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound and proportionate judgment, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically.
