Job Summary:

Rutherford Briant is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and presenting key financial data to support our business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Gather and analyze financial information to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Prepare management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns.
  • Financial Planning: Support budgeting and funding initiatives.
  • System Implementation: Assist with the implementation of new financial software.
  • Accounting Procedures: Oversee and maintain accounting procedures and reconciliations.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed assets register, including capitalization of assets, disposals, and new projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve financial issues, and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a management accountant.
  • Knowledge: Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.
  • Reporting: Excellent knowledge of reporting and financial software.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Education: BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Qualifications: Hold a full professional accounting qualification.
