Position Overview

Financial Planning Analyst

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days remote)

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from £32,400 – £47,160 , based on your experience and expertise.

In the role of Financial Planning Analyst, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis for designated functions within Aegon UK, under the guidance of our Cost Management and Analysis Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and analysis for month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, business collaboration, reporting, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior management and executives regarding financial expenditures, presenting an excellent opportunity to contribute to Aegon's financial objectives.

You will be tasked with monitoring and evaluating financial performance, leveraging your analytical capabilities to pinpoint opportunities and challenges, and working alongside the business to implement solutions or mitigate risks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong background in management accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of month-end processes and related reporting, including variance analysis, rolling forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in collaborative team environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACA, AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, or currently pursuing one.
