About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As an EMHP, you will play a vital role in improving access to high-quality mental health support for children and young people in education settings.

With appropriate supervision, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. You will also provide advice, guidance, and signposting to education staff and support Senior Mental Health Leads in education settings to develop their Whole School Approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs
  • Provide advice, guidance, and signposting to education staff
  • Support Senior Mental Health Leads in education settings to develop their Whole School Approach
  • Work with children and young people, their families, and other stakeholders to promote mental health and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Be a suitably qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner
  • Have experience of working with children and young people, their families, and other stakeholders
  • Have knowledge of educational environments, safeguarding issues, and capacity and consent issues
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
