About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents have clean, fresh clothing and linens, contributing to their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the laundry process, including washing, drying, and ironing residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry.
  • Ensure the laundry room is clean and well-maintained, with a regular supply of detergent and fabric conditioner.
  • De-fluff the tumble dryers daily and manage the collection and distribution of laundry items to and from residents' rooms.
  • Report any safety hazards to management and adhere to Health and Safety standards and COSHH regulations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with industrial washing machines and laundry presses is beneficial, as is prior experience in a similar role.
