Job Title: Children's RGN or RMN

DAYTIME HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking an experienced Children's Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse to join their team in a secure training centre in Milton Keynes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload of patients with complex needs. As a Children's Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for completing assessments, developing care plans, and providing holistic care to patients in a secure setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete initial assessments and develop care plans for patients with a diagnosed Learning Disability or ASD.
  • Attend and participate in processes to assist patients at risk of self-harm/suicide, in line with NICE Guidance.
  • Attend monthly supervision and complete yearly EDR to assess targets, progression, and learning objectives.
  • Provide awareness training and advice for staff on the care of patients with a Learning Disability.
  • Assist with awareness days and workshops delivered by the PCMHT and work with the team to develop these further.
  • Attend and participate in weekly Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings to ensure an integrated approach is maintained when discussing at-risk patients.
Requirements:
  • Registered Children's Nurse or RMN Nurse (NMC Pin)
  • Nursing Degree
  • Evidence of further development of own clinical practice
  • Experience of working in a secure environment
  • Degree level qualification or above
  • Experience in involvement in innovation or change
  • Evidence of working in a 'value for money' service
  • Driving licence
