About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at The Newt in Somerset. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal produce from our estate and local suppliers.
  • Work closely with our head chef and other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior chefs and commis chefs to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of seasonal produce.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.

Our restaurant is open for breakfast through to dinner, and we offer cream tea in the library and early evening cocktails on the terrace.
