Job Title: Requirements and Acceptance Lead - Strategic Systems Engineer

Babcock International Group is a leading provider of complex engineering services, and we are currently seeking an experienced Requirements and Acceptance Lead to join our team.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity will see you take on the challenge of developing and implementing requirements management plans for our Skynet contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all requirements are met to the highest standard, while also maintaining a focus on quality and integrity.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage requirements engineering governance in liaison with the Chief Engineer to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality requirements and acceptance documentation, including the creation of reports and updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads to support the development and review of requirements documentation, from concepts through to in-life support.
  • Administer the Requirements Management Databases (RMDB) hosted in Domain Object Oriented Requirements Systems (DOORSTM) schema and access.
  • Facilitate DOORSTM training and support for applicable stakeholders to ensure effective use of the system.
  • Manage the creation of high-quality requirements and acceptance documentation, including reporting and updating as necessary.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable systems engineering experience with specialism in requirements definition, verification, validation, and transition to service.
  • Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working.
  • Lead practitioner/expert in determining and managing stakeholder requirements, requirements validation, and transition to operation.
  • Conversant with accreditation standards for bringing into service telecommunications systems, including bespoke and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software applications.
  • Experience in delivery in a Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) environment.
  • Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering, or HNC/HND with equivalent relevant experience.
