We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our team at Ascent Performance Group Ltd. As a key member of our secured litigation team, you will play a crucial role in acting on behalf of our clients in conveyancing transactions to sell repossessed residential properties from instruction to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Dealing with all aspects of the residential conveyancing process on behalf of our clients, mortgage lenders, who have repossessed residential properties due to mortgage arrears or another breach.
- Preparing and reviewing memos of sales and auction packs.
- Reviewing residential titles on instruction from Client and providing Reports on title.
- Liaising with clients and solicitors in an efficient and professional manner.
- Preparing, reviewing and issuing sales contracts and supporting documents.
- Answering client queries, providing status advice and keeping all parties informed on progress of sale.
- Liaising with asset managers to provide a smooth transaction.
- Dealing with exchange of Contracts in a timely manner.
- Dealing with post sales matters including distribution of surplus funds as and where applicable.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's including a minimum C grade in English and Maths.
- Experience of the Scottish conveyancing process.
- Ability to work well in both a team and on their own.
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- Sound knowledge of law and legal System.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Familiar with electronic document management and filing systems.
- High level of discretion with confidential matters.
- Strong attention to detail and research skills.
- Law degree or equivalent.
- Experience of working for financial services' businesses in a legal environment.
- Experience of working in the legal industry and/or in-house with a top financial services organisation.
