Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Bupa. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care and activities within our care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and activities within the care home.
  • Create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medication records.
  • Ensure adequate staffing is maintained within the care home.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents, their families, and local partners, fostering a sense of community.
  • Liaise with local partners to raise the care home's profile and promote our services.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid UK NMC pin and commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Understand the impact of quality nursing care on residents' lives, promoting independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
  • Be an effective leader, able to build relationships, lead, mentor, and manage a team.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently and work collaboratively as a compassionate team player.
